MASON CITY - Golda A. Carty, 97, of Mason City died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the I.O.O.F. Home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Earlville with Pastor Jill Mack ofEarlville United Parish UCC-UMC officiating. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Golda was born March 1, 1913, in Oneida Township, Iowa, the daughter of Axel and Blanche (Bailey) Larson. She graduatedfrom Earlville High School. She was united in marriage to Elmer E. Carty on Nov. 24, 1944, in Chicago, Ill. Golda enjoyed
golfing, bowling and playing bridge at the Senior Center. She was a member of the Mason City Country Club and First UnitedMethodist Church.

Golda is survived by her niece, Polly Zimmerman of La Plata, Md.; great-nephews, Michael Zimmerman and David Zimmerman; and great-niece, Sharon Gandy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
