DYERSVILLE, Iowa — Mary C. Weber, 85, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Avenue SW in Dyersville, where a parish vigil service will be held at 2 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 until 10 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019, prior to funeral services.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Conway will officiate.

Mary was born February 28, 1933, in Farley, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Marcella (Kelchen) Greenwood. She married Elmer J. Weber on November 25, 1952, in Farley. Together they farmed and raised their family near Bernard, Farley and Bankston until they moved to Dyersville in 2004. Mary was a housewife and a nurses aid. She retired from Mercy Medical Center in 1999. She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Diane Weber, of Iowa City, and Lori Gingery, of Boone; a daughter-in-law, Mechelle Weber; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Rubner and their daughters Myia and Lena, of Dyersville, Amanda (Steven) Randall and son, Carter Wachendorf, of North Liberty, Melissa (Brett) Frasher, of Dyersville, Ben (Rachel) Ward and their children, Hazel and Harvey, of Springville, Bob Ward, of Council Bluffs, Stephanie (Nathan) Klocke, of Waukee, and Shannon (Ben) Marquez, of Iowa City; sisters, Rita Heims, of Coggon, and Irene Engelken, of Earlville; and in-laws, Linda Greenwood, Verna Greenwood, both of Farley, Alice Weber, of Dyersville, Raymond Weber, of Cascade, Emil (Darlene) Weber, of Epworth and Norma Weber, of Bernard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer in 2011; one son, Duane Weber in 2018; son-in-law, Steve Gingery in 2017; siblings, Eldon Greenwood, Raymond Greenwood; in-laws, Leo Weber, Elmer Heims, Julius Engelken, Helen Gansemer, Clarence Weber, Doris Weber and Albert Gansemer.
