DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Bernice M. Termont, 89, of Dyersville and formerly of Dubuque, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at her home.

Visitation will be held 2-7 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville, where a parish vigil service will be held at 2 pm. Visitation will continue Monday, March 21, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate, with Deacon Roger Riesberg assisting.

Bernice was born February 10, 1927, in Annawan, Illinois, the daughter of Julius and Bertha (Teerlinck) Vander Meersch. She married Charles G. Termont on August 28, 1948, in Sheffield, Illinois.

Bernice enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, crocheting, coin and stamp collecting, playing cards, golf and writing poetry. She spent much of her time volunteering at schools, meals for the elderly and the American Red Cross for over 20 years. Bernice was a member of St. Anthony's Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; 3 children: David C. (Donna) Termont, of Lino Lakes, MN, Rita (Fred) Cubbage, of Apex. NC, Steven C. (Pamela) Termont-Schenk, of Beachmere, Qld, Australia; son-in-law, Deacon Roger (Kathy) Riesberg, of Dyersville; 9 grandchildren: Sarah Ledbetter, Michael Termont, Matthew, Joseph, Edward Riesberg, Daniel and Doug Cubbage, Emmaleigh and Jamon Termont-Schenk; 21 great grandchildren; and a sister, Joanne (Mel) Davenport, of Hemet, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jean Riesberg; one sister, Dorothy Martens; an infant brother, Joseph, and another brother, Robert; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Passini; and many aunts, uncles & cousins.

In appreciation for all who cared for Bernice, especially Edna, memorials are preferred to Hospice of Dubuque.
