Rosemary R. (Frommelt) Meyer, 97, of Bethany Home, formerly of 3579 Lisa Ct. Dubuque, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Bethany Home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Holy Spirit Parish, where friends may greet the family from 9:30 until 10:15. Fr. Andrew Awotwe-Mensah will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Hoffman Schneider Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd., is entrusted with arrangements.

Rosemary was born on August 22, 1921, in Dubuque, daughter of Alois and Anna (Vogt) Frommelt. She married Robert J. Meyer on October 21, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on October 20, 2012. Her daughter, Laura A. (Meyer) Nilles also preceded her in death on April 16, 2014.

Rosemary worked at KDTH before being employed by Loras College where she worked in the Business Office for 30 years.

Rosemary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was active in the Choir and other Church organizations. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, particularly with the local travel clubs.

Surviving is her son-in-law, Keith Nilles of Dubuque; two granddaughters, Erika (Jeff) Nilles-Plumlee, Kirkwood, MO., and Kirstin (Steve) Kunkel, Perrysburg, OH.; and five grandchildren; Isaac and Nathan Plumlee, and Chase, Marin and Ty Kunkel. Surviving also are several nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Gertrude Frommelt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Ralph Weitz, Agnes and Donald Piersch, Marie and Walter Lewis, Elizabeth and Merlin Vanderah, and Agatha and Charles Leute.

In lieu of flowers, donations me be made to Bethany Home, Holy Trinity Church-Holy Spirit Parish, or Hospice of Dubuque.
