Sister Joan (Victoriana) Pardell, OP died June 4, 2019 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, Wis. Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., June 7, 2019 at the Sinsinawa Motherhouse.

After profession of faith in 1953, Sister Joan taught at St. Rose in Cuba City, Wisconsin for two years before going to Dixon, Illinois, where she taught for twelve years. She later taught at St. Thomas in Milwaukee and Our Lady of Mercy in the Bronx. She returned to the Midwest and taught in Portage and Baraboo, Wis. for several years before serving at St. Patrick in Ottawa, Il. For 28 years-first as a teacher and principal in the parish school and later as pastoral support staff. She returned to Sinsinawa and joined the Dominican community at St. Dominic Villa in 2016,
She is survived by two brothers, nieces, nephews and her Dominican sisters.
