Sister Dolores (Michon) Ullrich, OSF, 83, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.

Visitation will be be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019, with a Funeral Vigil at 7:00 p.m. in Francis Chapel at Mount St. Francis Center in Dubuque.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Francis Chapel.

Sister Dolores was born on January 24, 1936, in Oto, Iowa to Engelbert and Ella (Conley) Ullrich

She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on September 3, 1959, and made final profession of vows on August 12, 1967. She received master’s degrees in English at DePaul University, Chicago; and in Nursing Home Administration at North Texas State University, Denton, Texas. She ministered as an educator in Iowa at Dubuque-Holy Ghost, North Washington, LeMars-Gehlen, and Oyens. She served as Administrator and President/CEO of Stonehill Franciscan Services, Dubuque. She later ministered as a sacristan at Mount St. Francis Center.

Sister is survived by her sisters, Julie (Duane) Calvert; LaVonne (Richard) Hill; Jean (Dale) Gutenkauf; and Elaine Dishman; her brothers, Bert (Glenda) Ullrich; and Thomas (Roxie) Ullrich; nieces and nephews, and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared over 58 years of her life.

Sister was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty (John) Emge.

Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis of Dubuque.
