Mrs. Ann Rebecca Beresford, wife of Thomas Beresford, died Sunday morning at 3:30 o’clock at the home in Epworth, after a long illness. She was born April 23, 1866, in Derbyshire, England. She came to this county in 1891, living here ever since. She lived in Epworth the past 36 years. She was married to Mr. Beresford, April 13, 1891. He survives her with seven children: Mrs. Oliver Schlitz, Walter and Arnold, Dubuque; Alfred, Dewey and Harvey of Epworth and Mrs. John Gronau of Rockford, III.
Five children preceded her in death: Thomas, Sidney, Stanley and two infant sons. A sister, Mrs. Hanna Kitching, of England also survives her.
Mrs. Beresford was a member of Epworth Methodist Episcopal church and belonged to the Berean Bible class and the Home Missionary society of that church. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home to the Epworth Methodist Episcopal church at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in High View cemetery.

Mrs. Ann Rebecca Beresford, age 68 years passed away Sunday 3:30 o’clock a.m. November 4th 1934 at the residence in Epworth. Beloved wife of Thomas Beresford, mother of Mrs. Oliver Schiltz, Alfred, Walter Dewey, Arnold, Harvey and Mrs. John Gronau.
Resting at the family home from where funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock to Epworth. M. E. church at 2:30 o'clock. The interment will be in High view cemetery in Epworth --Egelhof Funeral Service.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbors for their kind assistance and expressions of sympathy extended us during our recent bereavement, the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother, Ann Rebecca Beresford. We also gratefully acknowledge the many beautiful floral offerings in her memory, and wish to thank those who so generously donated the use of their cars for the funeral.
