The funeral of Thomas Hinde of Epworth, who died Thursday, was held from the residence in Epworth to the Methodist Church there Sunday afternoon. The Rev. M. C. Melcher officiating Mrs. Lloyd Sisler and Mrs. J. N. Maxwell sang several hymns during the services. They were accompanied by Mrs. F. N. Keys

The Rev. Melcher delivered a sermon and also officiated at the graveside rites at Highview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were;: Lyle Miller, Floyd Woodhouse, Willis Knapp, Frank Teiller, H. H. Reeder and Carl Maxwell

HINDE-Departed this life on Thursday, September 25, 1947, at 9:50 a.m. at Finley Hospital, Thomas Hinde of Epworth, Iowa. Beloved husband of Mrs. Minnie Barton Hinde; beloved father of Mrs. Edward (Ida) Hemmer; Mrs. Melvin (Irma) Albrecht, Dubuque, Ia.; Stanley Hinde of Waterloo, Ia., Clark Hinde of Epworth, Ia.; Lloyd Hinde of Detroit, Mich. ; beloved brother of Mrs. Edward (Mary) Silker, Mrs. Bert (Ruth) Boal, Russell Hinde of Epworth, Ia., Mrs. Walter (Hannah) Stichler of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Mead (Jane) Fuller of Rosholt, S.D., Richard Hinde of Quamba, Minn.; fourteen grandchildren. In his 70th year. The body is resting at the family residence in Epworth, Ia. from where the funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock to the Epworth Methodist Church at 2:30, the Rev. M. C. Melcher , pastor officiating. Burial will be in Highview Cemetery, Epworth, Ia. Haudenshield Funeral Home in charge.
