Dubuque Times: Mrs. Helen Esson Dickinson, wife of E. Horton Dickinson, the paper box manufacutor, died Wednesday evening at 7:15 o'clock at Finley Hospital.

Mrs. Dickinson was born in Cascade, this county, on July 5, 1849. She was educated in the Episcopal Seminary and public schools of this city, was a teacher in the Audubon School for several years in the 70's and later taught in Fonda, Anamosa, and Cascade. Having been born under Independence Day and two bothers and her husband being civil war veterans, she naturally was patriotic as regards all affairs in connection with the veteran soldiers, and was, while a teacher in Cascade, the first to establish the custom of decorating the soldiers graves there.
