Bernice M. Fleege, 99. became an angel and gained her wings to heaven, Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Church of the Nativity, with Msgr. James Miller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Galena, Ill. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 13th at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St.
Our beautiful mother was born July 16, 1918, daughter of Albert and Caroline Brown. She was the 5th of 6 children. She married Eldon Fleege; he preceded her in death on June 6, 1969.
Bernice was employed at Mercy Medical Center for many years.
Bernice has lived in Dubuque, Iowa, Miami, Florida and Sacramento, California.
She is survived by four children, David (Judy), Linda (Karl), Susan (Frederick), and Dennis; five grandchildren, Tony, Amy, Kelly, Ashley and Courtney; five and one-half great-grandchildren, Derek, Amanda, Allison, Abby, Sofia and new baby due in August.
