William Dettmann, 1200 Lincoln Avenue, died in Chicago at 6 o’clock Saturday night. The body will be brought to Dubuque for burial. The deceased was a fireman on the Chicago Great Western railroad. He has been in Chicago for the past several months.

WILLIAM DETTMAN

William Dettman, a resident of Dubuque until 16 months ago, died in Chicago Saturday afternoon at 5:45 o’clock. He was 59 years old and had been a fireman on the Chicago, Great Western for 30 years. He was born in Dubuque and married Altha Jones here on December 12, 1894. He was ill for five weeks before his death.

He is survived by his widow, two grandchildren, three brothers, John, Ernest and Herman, and a sister, Mrs. John Vyverburg, all of Dubuque. A son Raymond J., died four years ago.

He was a member of the B. of F. L. and E., the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Veterans of the Railroad.

The body is at the Didesch funeral home where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be made in Linwood.
