Our Mother, Mary (Felton) Duffy, 92, of 803 Second Ave. NW, Cascade, left her earthly home early Wednesday, April 6, 2011, to reunite with her Angels in Heaven.

Friends and relatives of Mary may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where a Legion Auxiliary service will be held at 4 p.m. and a wake service held at 7:30 p.m. Services for Mary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery in Temple Hill.

Mary was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Cascade, Iowa, daughter of Felix and Anna (Neyens) Felton. She received her education in the former St. Mary's School in Cascade. On Jan. 12, 1937, she was united in marriage to William Duffy at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cascade.

Mary was not only a great mother and housewife, she was also a cook at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, its Altar and Rosary Society, and a member of the Cascade American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by eight children, Rose (Kenneth) Zieser of Coggon, Donald Duffy and Gerald "Bud" Duffy, both of Cascade, Marilyn (Harlan) Zuber of Williamsburg, Eldon "Dick" Duffy of Cascade, Mary (Wayne) Koutny of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Eldon) Rohlena of DeKalb, Ill., and Tom (Sandy) Duffy of Cascade; one son-in-law, Dan Nolte of Watkins; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene (Harold) DeMent of Dubuque and Hilda Macomber of Buffalo; and two sisters-in-law, Irene Felton of Sleepy Eye, Minn., and Mary Jane Felton of Cascade.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Duffy on July 15, 1972; one son, Joseph Duffy on March 28, 2008; a daughter, Jean Nolte on June 17, 2010; a son and a daughter, both in infancy; brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Mary Felton, Nick Felton, Joe Felton, Ed and Mary Felton, Al and Margaret Demmer, Bill Macomber, Orville and Geraldine "Tuts" Offerman and Robert Soppe.
