Doris A. Johnson, 66, of 4170 Bluebird Drive, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at her daughter's home after a brief battle with cancer.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque.

She was born on April 28, 1938, in Ashburn, Mo., daughter of Marcus L. and Elsie E. (Cooksey) McGeorge.

Doris lived most of her life in Ottawa, Ill.

She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time on the computer. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Surviving are five children, Richard A. Johnson, of Marseilles, Ill., Karen S. Johnson, of Dubuque, Valerie K. Smith and Rebecca L. Chaney, both of Ottawa, and Darla Jo Sullinger, of Wadsworth, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon L. Graham, of Morris, Ill.; a brother, Marcus D. McGeorge, of Ottawa; and a special friend, Tom Grogan, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Charlotte J. Murdock; and a brother, Carl P. McGeorge.
