Mrs. Robert L. (Leona B.) Bills Sr., 80, of ManorCare Health Services, Dubuque, who formerly resided with her son, Rob Bills, in New Vienna, Iowa, died at 10:25 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2005, at ManorCare.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West, Iowa. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, where there will be a parish wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Bills was formerly employed as a secretary at Rolway Bearing Co., Liverpool, N.Y.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1925, in Syracuse, N.Y., daughter of Bruce L. and Bertha J. (Wicks) King. She married Robert L. Bills on Nov. 27, 1954, in Sayre, Pa.; he preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1996.

Leona's greatest joy was to be with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are a daughter, Donna L. (Richard) Hollenback, of North Fort Myers, Fla.; two sons, Robert L. "Rob" (Cathy) Bills Jr., of New Vienna, and Richard W. (Christine) Bills, of Dubuque; and 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Cole Hollenback, son of Tod and Mary Hollenback.

Memorials may be sent to ManorCare Health Services, 901 W. Third St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001 and to Hospice of Dubuque, 2255 Kennedy Road, Dubuque, Iowa 52002.
