Dorthea Sternbergh

Dorthea Sternbergh, 87, of Ennoble Manor Care Center, 2000 Pasadena Drive, died Thursday, Dec 23, 1999, at the care center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave.

She was born in Dec 31, 1911, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Loretta (Lee) Kruse. She married Ervin Sternbergh; he died Feb. 28,1986.

She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She and her husband lived in Imlay City, Mich., for many years. She traveled with her husband before they returned to Dubuque in 1960. She leaves many loved ones.

Surviving are a sister, Lillian Boner, of Dubuque; nieces, Jean (John) Bennett, of Washington, Mo., Dorthea Manghera, of Chicago, and Vynette (George) Rettenmair (sic), of Vancouver, Wash.; and may great-nieces and nephews.
