Sandra "Sandy" S. (Montag) Tigges, 75, of Asbury, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Church of the Resurrection. Family will greet friends 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.

Sandy was born November 29, 1941 in East Dubuque, IL the daughter of Leo "Chris" and Ruth (Liddle) Montag. She married Florian Tigges, Jr. on April 28, 1962 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Dubuque.

Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection, TOPS, volunteered at the Arboretum, enjoyed knitting, reading, cross-stitch, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Those left behind include her husband, Florian; children, Amy (Doug) Wagner of Asbury, Rob (Teresa) Tigges of Key West , Molly (Tom) Coyle of Sherrill, Jenny (Dave) Schrobilgen of Dubuque, Steve (Paula) Tigges of Marshfield, WI, and Susan (Steve) Swift of Monticello , and; 19 grandchildren, Doug, Tyler, Drew, Quinn Wagner, Nick, Tom, Trisha, Scott Tigges, Maggie, Carlee, Jolee, Arriana Coyle, Matt, Ben Schrobilgen, Lorna, Lainey, Will, Chris, Anabell Swift; one great-grandson, Henry; siblings, Kay (Mike) O'Toole, Kris Ann (Kevin) Strehlow, Tony (Collen) Montag, and Rick (Kristi) Montag; her in-laws, Barb (Chuck) Pruter, Bob (Pat) Tigges, Sharon Johannes, Jackie Tigges, Suzanne (Jim) Heinle, and Mary Montag.
