Adam Kohler, aged 14, died at the family residence, 187 West 17th Street at 9:45 Monday. The decedent was born at Lancaster, Penn., and lived there until five years ago when the family removed to Bellevue, Ia. At the opening of St. Joseph’s College last fall he enrolled as a student. His family later moved to Dubuque and he became a day pupil.

He had been ill at the college for several week and later spent ten days at Mercy Hospital where he apparently made a complete recovery. A relapse came, however, and he gradually sank until the end came.

The youth was popular with the students and was well thought of by the faculty.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 o’clock to St. Mary’s. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary.
