Roger E. Klinzman, 69, of Dubuque, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.

There will be a Memorial Service held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd., where friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Deacon Tim LoBianco of Resurrection Church will officiate. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #6.

Roger was born April 3, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Earl and Frances (Rogers) Klinzman. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1964 and was an active member in the SAE fraternity. Additionally, he served his country as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army (Artillery Unit Commander in Germany). On September 29, 1970, he married Diane Steuck at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Diane of Dubuque; his son, Kevin E. (Lindsay) Klinzman of Delran, NJ; his daughter, Keeley (Jeremy) Rizzo of Cincinnati, OH; his granddaughter, Brooke Klinzman of Delran, NJ; aunts, Dorothy Klinzman of Ankeny, IA and Elouise Klinzman of New Sharon, IA; an uncle, Lloyd (Sharon) Klinzman of Clive, IA, and several cousins in the Des Moines area; a brother-in-law, Don "Tiger" (Pat) Steuck, and a sister-in-law, Kay Steuck, both of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.
