There are so many in our community who will be pained to read the announcement of the death of Mrs. Emma Lyman, wife of E. P. Lyman, Esq. She died very suddenly Tuesday afternoon, at the age of twenty-six years. She came to Dubuque a bride, less than one year ago, and during her residence in this city has endeared herself to a large circle of friends by her kind and affectionate disposition and her gentle and pleasing manners. An earnest Christian lady, from the first residence her she took an active working interest in the church and Sabbath school, and her daily life was one of unassuming piety. The entire community will with sympathize with the bereaved husband in his irreparable loss.
