His Career

Mr. Alois Nipp, aged 78 years passed away at 1 o’clock this morning at the family residence, 256 Stafford Avenue. Deceased suffered a paralytic stroke about two weeks ago and to this cause his death is due. Mr. Nipp was one of the old settlors of Dubuque County, having resided here for over forty-eight years. He has always been held in the highest esteem by the residents of the entire county and his death will be universally regretted.

Deceased is survived by his wife and four children, three sons, Charles and Alois, of Dubuque and George of Minneapolis, and one daughter, Mrs. George Vogel. The funeral will take place on Thursday morning at 9 o’clock from the family residence to Sacred Heart Church. The body will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary.
