Death of Joseph Norris.
On February 17th, Joseph P. Norris, the youngest brother of Rev. J. J. Norris, of Lourdes, died in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 27 years Another brother, Rev. T. J. Norris, of Stone City, Iowa, brought the remains to Dubuque for burial. The funeral services were held at the Cathedral, Monday morning, at 9 o’clock. Rev. J. J. Norris, Lourdes, was Celebrant of the Mass, Rev. T. J. Norris, Stone City, Deacon, Rev. M J. Hogan, Monona, Subdeacon, Rev T. J. Brady, Cathedral, Master of Ceremonies.
Other priests present at the obsequies were Revs. F. J. Gunn, Elma, J. J. Collins, Cecelia, C. F. Jungermann, Alta Vista, M. Hogan, Waucoma, P. McNamara, Waukon, D. M. O’Gorman.
J. Nolan, P. O’Malley, V Casey, M. L. Korper. A. Dress, Dubuque. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The K. C. acted as pall bearers.
