OBITUARY

A telephone message was received yesterday afternoon by Frank M. Cota, the hardware merchant, conveying the sad news of the death of his father, Anthony Cota, Esq., which occurred yesterday at the Cota homestead at Bennettville in Washington township. Mr. Cota was one of the old pioneers of Dubuque County, having come here from France with the lamented Bishop Loras. He had enjoyed the best of health and his sudden death was quite a surprise to his family and friends. Notice of the funeral will be given hereafter.
