Farley, Ia., Nov. 4. – Special: Mrs. George Arlen died at her home two miles north of here Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Arlen, Nee Theresa Lambertz, was born in Germany in 1855 and came to this country in 1866. Since that time she has resided in Dubuque County. She was married to George Arlen in 1878. Seven children were born two of them preceded their mother in death.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nicholas Gansen, Elma, Ia.; Mrs. Peter Boeffeli, Farley, and Mrs. Paul Rauen, Bankston; two sons, Joseph G., Farley, and John W., Peosta; 31 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the home to St. Joseph’s Church Friday morning at 9 o’clock. Interment will be made in St. Clément’s Cemetery, Bankston.
