Former Resident Passes Away at His
Home in Chicago

Mr. Charles Brown, formerly of Dubuque, passed away at his home in Chicago last Monday after a brief illness.

Mr. Brown was a resident of this city up to two years ago. During his boyhood he was engaged as a pharmacist, with W. H. Torbert, James Hervey and George Wunderlich. Later he conducted a drugstore of his own on Main Street. Two years ago he removed to Chicago, where he has since made his residence.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mary McCullough, daughter of Patrick McCullough, and two children, a son and a daughter. He was a son of the late Patrick T. Brown, and his mother Mrs. Elizabeth M. Brown, resides at 1534 Iowa Street.

He also leaves three brothers, Joseph and William of Fort Dodge, and John, of this city.
The body will be brought to Dubuque for burial.
