DIES OF HIS INJURIES
~
Valentine Erner Who Was Hurt
Two Weeks Ago Passed
Away Yesterday Morning
~
Valentine Erner, a well-known young man, died at 7 o’clock yesterday morning at his family residence, 219 Walnut Street, aged 20 years. The death of this young man was the result of an accident which happened to him just two weeks ago last night, when he lost his balance while alighting from a street car on Ninth and Main Streets. In his fall he struck the back of his head on the brick pavement, which at the same time stunned him. Mr. Erner finally regained his senses, and was able to walk home, but for several days complained of a bad headache. About a week ago he became unconscious and never recovered.

The deceased was born in Galena but with his mother and the rest of the family came to Dubuque several years ago. He was employed at the McFadden Coffee and Spice Mills, and was an industrious, upright young man. He is survived by his mother and five brothers, Frank, John, Will, Ray, Edward and one sister, Annie, all at home.
