Passed Away Yesterday Afternoon
After a Protracted Illness

Miss Helen Loes, 31 years, died at 3:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Augusta Schwind, in West Dubuque. The deceased had been in ill health for the past year and while her death was expected at any time during the period of her illness, yet, when she was called to her final resting, those who had watched by her bedside so long were overcome with grief.

Deceased was born in Luxembourg, Germany, and came to this city in 1892. Besides her parents the surviving members of the family are four brothers, namely; John, Pierre, Jacob and Joseph. Also five sisters, namely; Mary, Susan, Anna, Margaret and Mrs. Gustav Schwind.
