Frederick Kennicker, an aged and highly esteemed resident of Dubuque, died at the family residence, Lemon and Millville Streets, yesterday at 6 p.m. The deceased was a native of Hanover, Germany, and came to this city in 1843. For many years he followed the occupation of stonemason and later engaged in the butchery business. In the early days Mr. Kennicker worked on many of the leading buildings in Dubuque and helped build Thompson’s mill in Sageville, one of the landmarks of Couler Valley. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Ferdinand and one brother, Christopher.

KENNICKER-On Saturday (May 4, 1901 at 6 o’clock p.m. , at his residence corner of Lemon and Millville Streets, Fred Kennicker, aged 81 years. Funeral Monday at 2 o’clock from his late residence to Linwood Cemetery. Services at the house. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
