Robert L. Fuhrman, 69, of 2245 Carter Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Lensing Funeral Service, Iowa City, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fuhrman worked for J.I. Case Co., of Bettendorf, Iowa, and then for John Deere Dubuque Works, retiring in 1986.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1930, in Dubuque, son of Frank A. and Sadie I. (Gappa) Fuhrman. He married Alice M. Schiltz on Oct. 5, 1968, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and was a 1952 graduate of the University of Iowa. He was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Alice M. Fuhrman, of Dubuque; a son, Robert M. Fuhrman, of Iowa City; a sister, Helen I. (James C.) Darby, of Bellevue, Wash.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jeanne K. (Fuhrman) Cirks; and a brother, Dr. Frank P. Fuhrman, of Vancouver, Wash.

The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be given to the Wahlert High School Development Fund.
