EPWORTH, Iowa - Mary Lou King, 62, of Epworth, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Friends and relatives of Mary may call from 9 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa.

Services for Mary Lou will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa, with Pastor Arnold Slater presiding. A private burial will be held at Highview Cemetery in Epworth, Iowa, at a later date.

Mary Lou was born May 9, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Eldon and Marjorie (Long) King. She graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 1971. Mary Lou worked at the original Bobcat Drive Inn and for Mount Carmel Mother House for 15 years as a cook.

She is survived by two sisters, Ellen LaPage, of Dyersville, IA, and Sandra (Gerald) Melssen, of Epworth, IA; one brother, Harvey (Beta) King, of Epworth, IA; 9 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; special friends, Mary and Tom Olinger and Joe Birch

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and special brother-in-law, John LaPage.

Special thank you to Dr. Caceres and Dr. Ringold, Marica, Patti and Katilyn, of ICU, Cori and Sue, of 3 West, and the staff at Stonehill Care Center for the wonderful care given to Mary Lou.
