Mrs. Margaret Neumann, 85, widow of John Neumann and a former resident of Farley, died at 10:40 a.m.
Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Michael Ruden, of near Holy Cross. She had been ill three weeks.

Friends may view the remains after 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ruden home, two and one-half miles south of
Holy Cross, from where services will be at 9 a.m. Monday to Holy Cross church. Burial will be in St.
Clements cemetery at Bankston.

Mrs. Neumann was born Feb. 21, 1866, in Germany, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gansen.
When she was six months old, her family moved to Bankston.

She was married in Holy Trinity church at Luxemburg. She and her husband farmed near Bankston until his retirement in 1923, when they moved to Farley. Neumann died in 1946.

A Catholic, Mrs. Neumann attended Holy Cross parish, where she was a member of the Rosary society.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruden, of Holy Cross and Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Konzen, of
Farley; four sons, Matt and Joseph of Bankston; William of Holy Cross, and John, of Epworth; a sister, Mrs. Phillip Winter, of Bankston; a brother, William Gansen, of Elma, Ia.; 29 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A daughter, Mrs. Peter (Mary Ann) Ruden preceded her.

The Sanner funeral home of Farley has charge of arrangements.
