FARLEY, Iowa - Marguerite R. "Peg" LaPage, 89, of 602 Fourth St., N.E., Farley, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Farley. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the Farley American Legion will meet at 11:30 a.m.

Mrs. LaPage was a homemaker.

She was born on Aug. 4, 1911, in Ozark, daughter of Martin and Marie (Ralston) Berger. She married Arnold LaPage on Oct. 10, 1930.

She received her education in the Epworth area schools. She truly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Jeanine (Don) Fuss, of Maquoketa, Kathleen Dooley, of Epworth, and Geri (LaVern) Fangman, of Dyersville; two sons, Alan (Mary) LaPage, of Epworth, and Martin (Doris) LaPage, of East Dubuque, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and two special grandchildren, Ben and Abby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold "Speed" LaPage, on June 1, 1965; two brothers, Samuel Berger and William Berger; and two sisters, Mary Bartman and Amelia Scott.

A Marguerite R. LaPage Memorial Fund has been established.
