Funeral services for Mrs. David Waterhouse, 76, who died Tuesday in Evanston, Illinois, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Parsons, were conducted Wednesday night in Evanston. Mrs. Waterhouse was the mother of Mrs. C.L. Armstrong, 1303 West Fourth street. Burial was at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Farley, Ia., cemetery.

Mary Eldora Waterfield, daughter of William and Nancy Waterfield, was born April 26, 1865, at Raymond, Ia. Her parents were pioneers who had come to Black Hawk county by covered wagon. In 1885 she was married to James M. Richards, who died. She was married to Mr. Waterhouse on Dec. 21, 1898, at Farley, Ia. She lived at Sioux City and Charter Oak, Ia., for many years before moving to Evanston in May, 1939, and she had visited here often.

Surviving besides the husband and the two daughters are a brother, George Waterfield, Elk River, Minn., and two granddaughters. Mrs. Waterhouse was a past worthy matron of Charter Oak, Ia., lodge of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Evanston's Chapter CV, P.E.O., and Morningside Methodist church, Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong were with her when she died.
