Held At Bankston Saturday
Morning In St. Clement’s Church

Farley, Ia. Oct. 13. – Funeral service for Mrs. William A. Daly, who passed away at her home, four miles north of Farley, Wednesday noon, were held Saturday morning from the home St. Clement’s Church, Bankston, at 9:30 a.m.

The Rev. W. A. Banfield officiated at a high mass of requiem, delivered the sermon and read the prayers at the graveside in the adjoining cemetery.

The casket was borne by Henry O’Connell, Charles Irwin, Walter and Harold Kennedy, Thomas K. Smith, Matt Carroll, Jr., and Clement O’Meara, all nephews of the deceased.

Mrs. Daly, a lifelong resident of Dubuque County, died following a lingering illness. At the time of her death she was a Democratic Committeewoman of Iowa Township and had been prominent in church and civic affairs. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Sacred Heart League.

She was married to William A. Daly at Bankston June 21, 1910, and they had farmed in this vicinity ever since.

Besides her husband, who is a Dubuque County Committeeman of the Triple A., she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Emmett P. Kelly, of Glendale, Ariz.; Mrs. Al Connolly, of Dubuque; Mrs. Richard Knapp and Anna Mae, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, William, in the U. S. Navy; Matthew at home; three sisters; Mrs. Thomas A. Smith and Mrs. Matt Carroll, both of Epworth; Mrs. Harry O’Connell, of Graf; and three brothers, Robert Kennedy, living near the Monastery; Martin and John J., of Epworth. Her parents, one son, Donald, one sister and a brother preceded her in death.
