Florence K. Murphy, 91, of 2000 Pasadena Drive, formerly of 1280 W. Third St., died Monday morning, May 22, 2000, at Ennoble Manor Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Nativity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 8 p.m.

She worked at the Iowa State Employment Office for 20 years.

She was born on March 22, 1909, in Dubuque, daughter of John Sr. and Mabel (Butler) Murphy.

She bowled with the Dubuque Women's Bowling Association for many years. She was a charter member of Nativity Parish and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, John F. Murphy III, of Coralville, Iowa, Tom J. Murphy, of Irvine, Calif., Patty (Murphy) Scheets, of Bloomington, Ill., Sue (Murphy) Braun, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, and Kathy (Murphy) Wogen, of Olin, Iowa; and a special family friend, Mary Miller, of Dubuque.

A Florence K. Murphy Memorial Fund has been established.
