FOUND DEAD. – Mr. Joseph Stichler was found dead in Iowa Twp. On the 21st of Dec. He was last seen alive at dark on Saturday last, Dec. 17th, on his return from the village of Farley. He is supposed to come to his death as a result of using intoxicating liquor.

He was a single man, about 25 years of age, a quiet, peaceable industrious citizen, and probably had not an enemy in the world.

The probabilities are that he missed his way, and wandered around until exhausted with fatigue, blinded by the falling snow, benumbed, he feebly laid down in the snow to sleep the last long sleep.

It was truly a melancholy sight to see his aged parents, brothers and sisters, collect around his frozen remains.
