Mrs. John T. Donovan passed away Monday afternoon at the family home, 706 Angella Street, at 2:30 o’clock, following a lingering illness, having been an invalid for many years. She was born in Dubuque March 17, 1867, and has resided here her entire lifetime. Her maiden name was Alice Holden, and her marriage to John T. Donovan occurred April 27, 1892.

Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry Reavell, Dubuque; two sons, Frank and Clement of Sioux City; one sister, Miss Mary Devitt, and one brother James Devitt, Waukon; also three grandchildren.

Mrs. Donovan was a member of the Catholic Church attending St. Patrick’s Church. She passed away fortified by the last rites of her religion.

Funeral services will be conducted from the home to St. Patrick’s Church at 9 o’clock Thursday morning. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
