The Herald, Sunday, Wednesday, March 17, 1869

DEATH – A telegraph dispatch was received last evening announcing the sudden death of James Pickley, in Chicago, the remains will arrive this morning and be conveyed to his parent’s residence in the fifth ward. Due notice of the funeral will be given. Deceased was a barkeeper by occupation and was in the employ of Sam Cox for a couple of years. He was a worthy young man and universally respected.
