Services for Mrs. John B. (Margaret Ellen) Blocker, of 1050 Center Place, who died Monday at Mercy Hospital, were held at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Hoffmann Mortuary to the Church of the Nativity.

The Rev. Lowell Skekleton, assistant pastor, offered the high mass of requiem and preached the sermon. Present in the sanctuary were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. M. L. Kerper, pastor; the Rev. Donald Heineman, assistant pastor; the Rev. Francis P. Friedel, Loras Academy, and the Rev. Hubert L. Crubel, of La Crosse, Wis. Father Crubel officiated at the graveside, in East Dubuque Cemetery, assisted by Father Shekleton.

Pallbearers were Lauren Maguire, Dr. M. A. McQuillen, Michael Clemens, Arnold Bisanz, Donald Blocker, and Richard Blocker.

Representing the Nativity Home School Association, of which Mrs. Blocker was president, were Mrs. A.A. Brinkmoeller, Mrs. Edward Gartner, Mrs. Albert Bisanz, Mrs. Anthony Guinta, Mrs. E. V. Pauly and Mrs. Paul McMahan.

Eighth grade pupils of Nativity School, classmates of Mrs. Blocker’s son, Robert Blocker, attended in a body.
