Bernadine Higley Winters, 91, of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Dubuque, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1996, at Bayview Nursing Center, New Bern.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at First Presbyterian Church, New Bern. Burial will be in Dubuque at a later date. The Pollock-Wells & Best Funeral Home, New Bern, is assisting the family.

Surviving are her son, David D. Winters, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; her daughter, Carole Anderson, of New Bern; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Religious Community Services Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 704, New Bern, N.C. 28563.
