Mrs. Joseph H. (Dorothy M.) Bradley, 81, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 361 Kaufmann Ave. and 1629 McPoland St., died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Heritage Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Word of Life Church, 4450 Dodge St. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a scripture service at 5:30 p.m.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1924, in Colesburg, Iowa, daughter of Walter P. And Helen (Hadley) Hagensten.

She married Joseph H. Bradley on July 10, 1943, in Rock Island, Ill.; he preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. She was a very devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

She operated a craft shop in her home for more than 10 years, selling original crafts that she had designed and made.

Dorothy was a member of Word of Life Church. She was a woman of prayer and was devoted to reading her Bible.

Dorothy's greatest joy was being with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna L. (Jerry) Lange and LaVonne L. Thompson, both of Dubuque, and Gloria J. (Paul) Weydert, of Cascade, Iowa; a son, Vance J. (Becky) Bradley, of Dubuque; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Hagensten, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Joe Hagensten, of Dubuque; and nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Eugene, in infancy.

A Dorothy M. Bradley Memorial Fund has been established.
