James P Strain, well known Dubuquer, died at his home, 267 Locust street, Wednesday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the home to the Cathedral, the time to be announced later. Interment will be made in the cemetery at the Monastery.

Mr. Strain was born in Toledo, Aug. 22, 1863, and came to this city thirty-seven years ago. For the past twenty-five years he had been employed at the Klauer company.

He is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mesdames John O'Haloran; William Fahey, Earl Falk, Misses Thelma and Mildred Strain; two sons, Louis and James, all of this city; a brother, John Strain, Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Belle Heitt, Detroit, and eight grandchildren.

He was a Catholic, a member of the Cathedral parish and in his last hour he died comforted by the rites of that religion. He was affiliated with the Ironwood camp, Modern Woodmen of America.
