Ambulance Driver Here Dies at 65

Edward T. Farrell, 65, city ambulance driver for more than 20 years, died suddenly at his home, 2148 University Avenue, about 6:30 o'clock Thursday morning.

The body is at the Didesch Funeral Home, where it may be viewed after 7 o'clock Thursday evening. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mr. Farrell was born at Elkport, Ia., on Nov. 1, 1876, and came to Dubuque 50 years ago. He was employe for a time at the Milwaukee Shops here, but served in the capacity of ambulance driver for more than a score of years. As an ambulance driver he worked under the supervision of the chief of the Fire Department. he was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen of the World and was married on April 26, 1899 to Florence Pierce.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Leo (Florence) Jaeger, Dubuque; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Stella) Bradley and Mrs. Eunice Hanchett, both of Dubuque, Mrs. Lloyd (Vera) Weston, Decorah, Ia., and Mrs. Gilbert (Juanita) Hanson, West Union, Ia.; five brothers, Eaarl Farrell, Eau Claire, WIs., Tom Farrell, Garrett, Ind., James Farrell and patrick Farrell, West Union, and Mike Farrell, Chicago; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two daughters, one sister, and one brother, John Farrell, who died two weeks ago.
