EARLY THIS MORNING AFTER
BRIEF ILLNESS

William J. Hein, aged 77 years a resident of Dubuque for the past forty six years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Moritz, 226 O’Neil Avenue, this morning at 12:30 o’clock, after an illness since Thursday.

The deceased was born in Stuigart, Germany , and came to Dubuque forty six years ago. His first employment in this country was at the Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul’s shops, where he was employed in the bridge department. He worked in this department for thirty three years. Nine years ago he was forced to quit work account of ill health, his health was apparently good until last Thursday when he suffered a stroke of paralysis.

Mr. Hein was well known in Dubuque and among his associates at the Milwaukee shops and his death is deeply regretted. The funeral arrangement have not been completed.
