Services for Edwin O. Stecher, 87, formerly of 1609 Lincoln Avenue, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury, Dubuuqe.

Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion, Post No. 6. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stretcher who was born in Dubuque died at 1:30 a.m. Friday Oct. 17, 1986 at Bethany Home. He was a draftsman at Caradco, Inc. for 45 years before he retired. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, a 50 year member and past member of the Mosaic Lodge 125 AF & AM, a past monarch of the Oxus Grotto and an army veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife the former Mildred Ball: a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Barbara) Oelstrom of Bettendorf, Ia.; a son Douglas E. of Longmon, Colo.; three grandchildren: and a sister Mrs. Dorothy E. Schmitt of Dubuque.

An Edwin O. Stecher memorial Fund has been established.
