Henry Callahan aged sixty-five years, and for nearly sixty years one of the best known farmers living in the vicinity of Bankston, died at the residence on Friday, after an illness of seven weeks duration.

Mr. Callahan was born in Williamston, Pa., April 6, 1842, and settled in Bankston as stated over sixty years ago. He was a man of sterling qualities and held in the highest regard. A devout Catholic, he died fortified with the rites of the church.

Mr. Callahan is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary O'Connell, Maggie Callahan, of Bankston and Mrs. R. C. Welsh, of Dubuque.
The funeral will be held on Sunday at 9 o'clock to St. Clements Church, Bankston.
