At the residence, 1444 Clay Street, on Sunday evening occurred the death of Mrs. Barbara Fischer. Deceased was born in Coburg, Saxony, Feb. 19, 1833 and came to this country about forty years ago.

She resided in Dubuque about eight years ago, and then moved to Lansing, Iowa, returning to this city in 1869.

She was beloved by all who knew her, and many friends will mourn her death. For the past twenty-six years she conducted a notion store at 1444 Clay Street.

She is survived by two sons; Professor Alfred Manger and William Manger. The funeral will take this afternoon at 3:00 o’clock.
