Sister Mary Monica Curtin Passes
Away AT Convent On
West Hill Monday

Sister Mary Monica Curtin, a member of the Presentation Order on West's Hill, passed away at the convent at 9 o'clock Monday evening after an illness extending over a period of nine months. Deceased has been a member of the order for five years and was one of the instructors in the schools, coming from Allamakee County to join the order here in Dubuque. For a time, Sister Mary Monica was one of the teachers in the Presentation schools at Key West.

The dead sister was 30 years old at the time of her demise. The life so recently closed was one of the rare beauty and usefulness, of patient helpfulness and untiring energy. Consecrated to the service of the Divine Master, the good sister accomplished her high and holy mission here, and departed her sanctified life to claim to her just reward.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from the convent chapel to Mt. Olivet where the body will be laid.
