THOMAS CLEARY CALLED FRIDAY

Thomas Cleary, a well known resident of Dubuque County, passed away at the resident of Thomas Sheehan in Prairie Creek Township morning at 4:45 o’clock, after an illness of a few days duration.

Mr. Cleary was born in County Kilkeny. Ireland, eighty years ago, and came to America with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cleary, at the age of twelve. He made his home in this country during the remainder of his life. residing on the old homestead until his death.

The deceased followed the vocation of farming practically all his life, and was a man highly esteemed by all with whom he came in contact.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Mary Cleary, of Dubuque, one niece, Mrs. John Heiter of this city, and two nephews Michael Cleary of Dubuque and Thomas Cleary of Prairie Creek Township.

He was a devout member of the Catholic Church, attending the Holy Family parish at Mellary, Iowa. Interment will be made in the Holy Family cemetery, the time to be announced later.
