FARLEY, Iowa -- Services for Verla M. Lehmann, 69, 106 First Ave. SW, Farley, formerly of Bankston, will be at 11 am Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 pm today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a St. Joseph's Parish and a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 4 pm, a scripture wake service at 6 pm, a Farley American Legion Auxiliary service at 7:30 pm and the Farley American Legion Post 656 will meet at 8 pm.

Mrs. Lehmann was a homemaker.

She was born on July 4, 1925, in Cascade, daughter of Louis and Jessie (Dolphin) Connolly. She died at 4:10 am Tuesday, May 23, 1995, at home.

She married Clarence Lehmann on May 24, 1949, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fillmore.

She was a 1943 graduate of the former St. Martin's High School, Cascade. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, and its altar and rosary society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Presentation Court 1460 and the Farley American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence Lehmann; two daughters, Mary (and Ed) Kluesner of Farley and Lois (and Roger) Schueller of Dubuque; five sons, Mike (and Ruth), Tim (and Peggy), Ed (and Pat), and John (and Joyce) Lehmann, all of Bankston, and Phil (and Marjorie) Lehmann of Dubuque; 22 grandchildren; three brothers Pat and Vince (and Jean) Connolly, both of Dubuque, and the Rev. Leon Connolly of Guatemala, Central America, and three sisters, Janell (and Tom) Then of Epworth, Sister Lillian Connolly, RSM of LaCrosse, Wis., and Vivian (and Don) Steffen of Dyersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sister Nancy Connolly, RSM, and a brother, Jeremiah Connolly.

A Verla M. Lehmann Memorial Fund has been established.
