FARLEY, Iowa - Mary Margaret Kluesner, 80, of Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, formerly of 306 Second Ave. NW, Farley, died at 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m. and a wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on July 13, 1922, in Farley, daughter of John and Anna (Ramm) Jarding. She received her education in the Farley area schools and was a 1939 graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School, Farley.

She married Melvin F. Kluesner on May 4, 1944, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley. The couple farmed in the rural Farley area, until their retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Farley, and its altar and rosary society. She enjoyed going to the country and helping with anything that needed to be taken care of on the farm. She thouroughly enjoyed her entire family. They were her prized treasures.

Surviving are a son, Charles (Arlene) Kluesner, of Farley; three grandchildren, Gary (Lynn) Kluesner and Marty Kluesner, both of Farley, and Lynn (Jim) Hammerand, of Epworth; four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Justin Kluesner, and Ethan and Trenton Hammerand; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Willenbring, of Dyersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin F. Kluesner, on June 19, 1965; and a brother, Marvin J. Jarding, on July 3, 1994.

A Mary Margaret Kluesner Memorial Fund has been established.
